Enter or view class attendance history

Use the Class History side-tab to view or enter student class attendance information.

Like the Daily History side-tab, Class History displays historical attendance records, but for individual periods rather than days. The default filter is Recent Attendance, which is usually set to 90 days.

To enter or view class attendance history:

  1. Log on to the School view.
  2. Select Attendance > Class History. The Class Attendance History page appears.
  1. Do either or both of the following:
    • Click an attendance record to view its details. To view history for a specific date, enter it in the Search on Date field at the top of the page, and then click .
    • To enter a new attendance event, on the Options menu, click Add. The New Student Class Attendance page appears:

  1. Enter the required information, and then click Save.
  2. Notes: When the Attendance activity tracking preference is enabled by the district (root organization), intermediate organization or school:

    • The Attendance History icon might appear in the History column on the Class Attendance History page. This icon indicates that the student has a class attendance record for that day. Click the icon to see a list of attendance activities in the Attendance History pop-up. If the icon is red, the attendance record is locked and you cannot edit it.
    • If the Override Reason field appears at the top of the Class Attendance History details page, then it is a required field. Click , and then select a code to describe the absence. If you select Other, enter an Activity Comment to describe the reason.
