Import and export queries

System administrators can share queries with each other easily using import and export. Imported files must have a unique name compared to other saved queries and share the same user roles as the current Aspen database. Exported queries are saved as an XML-formatted file (with the extension .xml) in a zip file.

To import a query:

  1. Log on to the District view.
  2. Select Tools > Queries.
  3. Select Options > Import.

    The Bundle location pop up.

  4. At the Bundle location field, click Choose File.
  5. Navigate to the bundle you want to import, and select it.
  6. Click Import.

To export a query:

  1. Log on to the District view.
  2. Select Tools > Queries.
  3. Select the query you want to export.
  4. Select Options > Export.

Aspen saves the file to your download folder.
