View the Usage Statistics log

The Usage Statistics Log helps you monitor your district’s usage of Aspen. You can adjust maintenance and service by providing details on the user roles accessing Aspen, the most frequently viewed screens, and the peak access times.

View graphic representations in bar, pie, and line charts of the following:

  • Top 15 pages in Aspen viewed by your district’s users
  • Number of hits by user type
  • Number of hits during a time period
  • Breakdown of the pages accessed by user type

To view the Usage Statistics Log:

  1. Log on to the District view.
  2. Click the Admin tab.
  3. Click the Logs side-tab, and click Usage Statistics:
  1. Click the drop-down for and select the time frame for which you want to view statistics:
    • Current Hour
    • Today
    • This week
    • This month
    • Date/Time range

  1. If you choose Date/Time range, complete the following fields, and click Go:

  2. Notes:

    • Hits Over Time only appears when there is more than an hour's worth of data.
    • If you select any of the options except Current Hour, the Hits Over Time line chart displays the number of hits over the selected time frame.

  1. To show data for only a selected page or user type, do one of the following:
    • Click a bar in the Top 15 Pages bar chart.
    • Click a piece in the Hits By User Type pie chart.
    • Use the filter drop-downs in the Hits Over Time chart:

  1. The Hits By User Type displays, in a pie chart, the number of times students, staff, contacts, and other user types have accessed Aspen:
  1. The Access Data table lists details on all the pages accessed, along with what view they appear in; the Navigation ID; and the number of students, staff, contacts, and total users who have accessed the page. You can also search on this data:
